Honko Mangrove Conservation & Education vzw (HONKO)

Honko means mangroves in Malagasy and reversing the degradation and loss of mangrove forest ecosystems in Madagascar is the focus of this organisation in southwestern Madagascar.

Honko is a Belgian registered charity working in partnership with coastal communities to improve local living standards and quality of life in positive coexistence with the fragile and unique local environment.

We are dedicated to develop a truly locally sustainably managed coastal area that can easily be reciproced to other areas within the region.
